Luka Jakir, Makarska (Croatia) based DJ and producer launched his career in mid 90s, playing as resident in local clubs. Influenced by electronic music of those days, Luka based his sets on techno – perfecting technique, as well as the style along the way.
By the end of the decade he profiles himself as one of leading promoters of electronic sound on broader Makarska area and starts freelancing in the clubs of Croatia and neighboring countries. In 2002 he launches “Nightlife” – a project for promotion of electronic music, which, by today, featured more than thirty renowned Croatian and international DJs.
Most part of the last few years he has spent in the studio experimenting with new equipment and sounds in order to push his understanding of electronic music even further.

In 2009 Luka signed for Kaseta Music Records, and his first single, named “Jungle”, was released shortly after. 2010 was marked by the cooperations with the Italo Business (Italy) which released “The Beach” and Split (Croatia) based Baile Musik which featured releases “Souvenir” and “Over This”. Lukas sets are comprised of tech house, minimal and techno influences – all carefully folded with extensive use of modern digital music equipment.
These technologies enable Luka to create distinctive sets, with new dimension of elegance,proficiency and a touch of live performance.
His work today is characterized by better defined goals and adequate technology which enable him to continue, as a DJ and a producer, his contribution to the evolution of modern electronic music scene.
